Dr. Sevgi Zubeyde Gurbuz is named Hewson Engineering Faculty Fellow

Dr. Sevgi Gurbuz was named Hewson Engineering Faculty Fellow by the College of Engineering. Dr.  Gurbuz is an assistant professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering. Her main research focus lies in the advancement of RF-enabled Cyber-Physical Human Systems, radar signal processing, and machine learning algorithms. Gurbuz is a 2023 NSF Career Award recipient, and she was previously awarded a patent for the radar-based American Sign Language recognition work she pioneered.
